Welcome Speech
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, respected teachers, parents, dear students
On behalf of Trinity College London Ahmedabad Centre, it is my great pleasure to welcome you all to the 9th Trinity High Scorers’ Concert.
Today is a celebration of talent, dedication, perseverance, and excellence. We have gathered here not only to recognize outstanding achievements in Trinity examinations but also to celebrate the transformative power of music and the performing arts.
In a world where academic success often takes centre stage, programmes such as these remind us that education is far more than marks and grades. Music nurtures creativity, discipline, confidence, concentration, and self-expression. It teaches patience, commitment, and the courage to perform before an audience—qualities that help shape well-rounded individuals and future leaders.
The Trinity High Scorers’ Concert serves an important purpose: to motivate young learners and inspire parents to encourage their children to pursue their artistic interests alongside their academic studies. When children engage in music and the performing arts, they develop skills that remain with them for life.
This evening, we are privileged to witness performances by some of the highest-scoring candidates in the Trinity examinations. These talented students will present one of their examination pieces, showcasing the hard work, dedication, and musical excellence that earned them their outstanding results.
In addition, students from GD Goenka International School will present a special introduction to the Young Performers Certificates (YPC) programme affiliated with Trinity College London. The programme is designed to help young children develop confidence, communication skills, creativity, teamwork, and a sense of achievement through performance-based learning and group activities. It provides a valuable foundation for personal growth and artistic development from an early age.
As we begin this evening’s programme, let us celebrate not only achievement but also the spirit of learning, creativity, and artistic expression. May the performances inspire every student present to dream bigger, work harder, and continue their musical journey with passion and confidence.
